Due to the rainy weather forecast for tomorrow we are moving the BBQ by one day to Sunday, August 20th.
Everything else stays the same: starting at 15:00 at Het Joppe. We will put up the BBQ on the small island Koudenhoorn, not far from Het Paviljoen. The exact location will be posted on facebook as soon as we are on the spot. If you can’t find us, send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or a message on facebook, we will be checking frequently.

CWTS (www.cwts.nl) is looking for someone for 2 days in the week to do basic data entry/cleaning work regarding universities, research institutes, and the like. Some Excel skills are required. The job would run from as soon as possible up until a year after a first month evaluation period. Join us for our second event this summer: a BBQ in the beautiful surroundings of Het Joppe in Warmond on Saturday the 19th of August, starting at 15:00! It’s only a 15min bike ride from Leiden Central station.
LEO will provide delicious food and cold drinks! Just bring you own blanket to relax on 😉

March for Science 22 April 2017!
The March for Science is a non-partisan event. The main goals are to call for science that upholds the common good and to call for evidence-based-policy in the public’s best interest. Science leads to accurate, non-biased , objective knowledge, development in all fields and to a better society. Therefore, it is our right and responsibility as citizens (not only as researchers) to safeguard it.
Leiden University supports The March for Science that shouts out to everyone celebrating our passion for science, increasing awareness, and joining The March for Science event at the Museumplein in Amsterdam on 22 April 2017. See you there!
PhD drinks at Leiden Grandcafé de Burcht! 🙂
Want to loosen up your brains before continuing with your academic research next week? Join LEO’s PhD drinks on this Friday, 21st, at Grandcafé de Burcht (Burgsteeg 14).
We will start at 20.30, and same as always, the first round of drinks is on us! To get the voucher for free drinks all you have to do is to ask one of the LEO members at the bar.
