PhDs only: f*ck insecurity
Theatre Lecture on the Imposter Syndrome
In her entertaining Theatre Lecture, Vreneli Stadelmaier basically delivers the following message: f*ck insecurity! Many PhD candidates might be appealed by this message, as we often experience feelings of insecurity.
Do you also sometimes feel insecure in a way like having cheated your way through to your current position? That your colleagues are better than you in what they do? Are you afraid they will “find out” that you are not as competent?
Join this interesting meeting organized by LEO and PhDoc, on Tuesday January 30th, from 17:00 till 19:30, at Lipsius Building, (Cleveringaplaats 1, 2311 BD Leiden) Room 005.
We will not only learn about the Imposter Syndrome, but also how this relates to the concept of diversity and how we can tackle feelings of insecurity. By joining, you automatically participate in a lottery that gives you the chance to win one of Vreneli Stadelmaier’s books!
